Remember those fantastic NYE parties where all ages were indulged? Remember when it wasn’t all about herd conformity or fashion, when we wandered several hundred km-s just for the music? Remember when we gathered to celebrate the New Year appropriately with artists and venues that we've always dreamed of? When everybody was able to find the style, or the time of music closest to his/her heart?

Now, finally, this kind of large-scale New Year's Eve will be back in Budapest; multi-venue, 20 hours of celebration, 6 top-line international artists, a brand-new live act, two stages.

Beside of some outstanding international brands, the local elite will take care about the music, with a time travel in the classical sense until midnight, followed by strictly the latest music to comply with the New Year. The technical level will resemble the international state of the art, at a venue – the Millenaris’ B-block – which never ever hosted an electronic music event before.

Whether it’s one of his spine-tingling Global Underground or Renaissance CDs that’s still burning a hole in your stereo years after its purchase, or the perfect pop of Kylie’s ‘Confide In Me’ that he co wrote, produced and remixed, there’s very few with their heart in electronic music who haven’t had a Dave Seaman ‘moment’.

Having devoted almost every weekend over the last 15 years to moving dancefloors from Ibiza to Iceland, Seaman has played the world’s most recognized festivals and clubs in more than 70 countries throughout his career, while still lending his production nous to the music industry’s A List. Along with crafting beats for Ms Minogue, Take That and Pet Shop Boys have enlisted his studio expertise, with everyone from U2, to Michael Jackson, Alanis Morissette, David Bowie and New Order having received a Seaman re-rub.

Make no mistake, his talents are unique. Few artists are able harness the creative complexity of an underground club burner and interchange it with the hook-driven dynamics of a pop cut, but Seaman has managed to do it time and time again. With massive discography of more than 60 releases and 30 remixes, his productions have gone on to feature on more than 80 other titles, released all over the globe.

Today, Seaman’s passion to exhibit boundary-breaking talent is as strong as ever. Via his independent label Audio Therapy, his inspired A&R has helped nurture some of the finest groove-merchants in dance music. The label’s roster speaks for itself, with Popof, Timo Mass, Pig & Dan, Wally Lopez, Mihalis Safras, Pirupa & Pigi and Robert Babicz all contributing tracks and remixes recently.

Dupa ce in 2005 ne-a incantat cu un super set marca “Renaissance- Therapy Sessions!” live, mixat alaturi de colegul sau Luke Chable, iata ca revine, toamna aceasta, in Bucuresti, plin de muzica noua pusa in acelasi binecunoscut stil: Stilul Dave Seaman!

Pentru cei putini dintre voi care inca nu stiu cine este Dave Seaman, iata o scurta biografie:

Dj international, maestrul inconfundabil al progressive-ului, compozitor, obsesiv, pragmatic, incapatanat, chel J, perfectionist, “Yorkshire breakdancer”, fost editor la revista “Mixmag”, suporter “Leed’s United”, vecinu’ lu’ Mel B, dj-ul de la ziua de nastere a Stellei McCartney, partenerul alaturi de care Robbie Williams mananca kebap, “co-founder”  Stress Records; omul care se bucura de o asigurare de £1/2 milion pe an, care cateodata locuieste la New York- East Village, sau chiar intr-o biserica vis’a’vis de o carciuma, si a carui deviza in viata este: “Daca ceva merita sa fie facut, atunci merita sa fie facut pana la excces!!!”.

Acesta este Dave Seaman! Dj-ul care s-a urcat pe un loc de varf in ierarhia mondiala a dj-ilor, dar si in sufletele noastre, si care in aproape 20 ani de cariera nu a dezamagit niciodata!
