IN-OUT, wellbeing in outdoor a Citylife durante la Milano Design Week.
IN-OUT,
Wellbeing in outdoor è un progetto per la Milano Design Week di
Promoest e Studio Rotella con la media partnership di Topscape Paysage e
di Fuorisalone.it e con il patrocinio del Comune di Milano.

Dassault Systèmes and Kengo Kuma to tackle global air pollution at Milan Design Week
At the heart of the event is Breath/ng, an air purifying installation which is able to absorb the equivalent of 90,000 cars worth of pollution. Combining decades of architectural experience with traditional origami crafts, the Tokyo-based architect utilized the 3DEXPERIENCE platform to model, test and explore the possibilities of creating networks as well as shapes from a unique, soft and supple material, The Breath.
Elusive Disturbances, a project from British design studio, Superflux and Wesley Goatley, will also set the scene at ‘Design in the Age of Experience’, by making the invisible problem of air pollution visible. Through new experiments with light sculpture and sound, visitors will be presented with an immersive installation that at once provides an in-depth reading of air quality data in Milan, while highlighting the ethereality and subjectivity of a data-based view of the world.
Also, appearing at the event will be The Smog Free Project, a series of urban innovations led by Dutch artist and innovator Daan Roosegaarde and his team of designers and engineers to reduce pollution and to provide an inspirational experience of a clean future. It will consist of the Smog Free Tower, Smog Free Jewelry and Smog Free Bicycle concept, all of which demonstrate how the design studio share the dream of clean air whilst making people part of the solution instead of the problem.

Timberland presents: The Flexible Living by Matteo Cibic
Timberland presents the new Sensorflex Boat Shoe with “The Flexible Living” installation created by famous designer Matteo Cibic
Timberland takes part in Design Week for the very first time and presents its new Sensorflex Boat Shoe using an original installation created by Matteo Cibic. A “chameleon of design,” Cibic has the amazing ability to give life to new objects and forms of communication through the combination of innovative materials and different production techniques.
Cibic interprets Timberland's Sensorflex technology with an accessible and entertaining public installation that will be presented inside the Brera Design District during the Fuorisalone set of events scheduled to take place from 5-9 April.
Called The Flexible Living, the installation will be an opportunity to entertain the tireless marathon runners of the design world while communicating the brand’s core values with a strong message. Through Cibic's creative vision, a common urban décor element gets an original interpretation and comes alive by changing to a fluid form.
Come see the installation at Piazza XXV Aprile from 5-9 April 2017 and share your pics using #TBLboatshoes and #timberlandcollective.
Philippe Model at the Fuorisalone 2017 with Sebastian Erras
The Parisian-born sneaker brand
is set to explore this year’s Fuorisalone through a special digital
project in collaboration with German photographer, Sebastian Erras.
Philippe Model has chosen Erras to represent the double personality defining the brand ever since its birth; classic Parisian tradition combined with high-end Italian craftsmanship.
The photographer, who lives and works in Paris, is the creative mastermind behind an original Instagram project which sees him on a quest to find the most peculiar mosaic and marble floors. Once he finds the ideal spot, Sebastian takes an overhead shot of his feet while standing on it.
Alongside him Philippe Model aspires to narrate the Fuorisalone 2017 from an unconventional point of view, the sneakers embodying the heart and soul of an extraordinary photo-discovery of the most interesting pavements of Milan during Design Week.

Concurrently with Miart and during the Milanese design week, Studio la Città will be presenting a show of works by the German artist Herbert Hamak: At the end of the rainbow, which will be installed on this occasion inside the temporary space Doubletrouble95, in the Naviglio area, and as part of the Fuori Salone circuit.
The show, which will be opening on Friday 31st March 2017, more than a classical retrospective exhibition of works by the artist, is the “telling of a story”, as Hamak himself explained during a recent interview. It is a story that narrates his birth as a painter, the evolution of his studies about colour, and the ways in which he learned to paint, because this is how he defines himself a “painter”. In this sense the title is highly significant and contains in itself the epilogue of this research. The key work of the exhibition is, in fact, a large multi-coloured installation, conceived for invading the refracted light of the exhibition space, just like a rainbow.
Among the works on show, apart from those hung on the walls and the sculptures of various forms and sizes on the floor, there will also be presented some “columns” which can be exhibited outside.

Fuorisalone: Be More Creative!
With
Lectra's product development solution, you can automatically ensure
data transfer and coherence between 3D and 2D, giving you the freedom to
adapt models with speed and precision, and move quickly into
production. Photorealistic rendering lets you explore the possibilities
of embedded technology, modularity and customization at the earliest
stage, so that you can offer consumers the broadest choice of styles,
sizes, colors and materials.
See Stanislas Joly interview, Sylvian Joly Design Studio about the virtual prototyoing seen by a designer.
BE IN CONTROL!
With increased choice comes increased opportunity for error. Lectra's 3D software lets you create and work on a virtual prototype to iron out problems before incurring the expense of a physical model. You can therefore avoid costly mistakes in design, prototyping and production.
BE SMART!
The idea of 'smart living' is driving demand for upholstered furniture with built-in technology. Lectra's expertise in "simplexity", making complex systems simple, will help you streamline your entire process and seamlessly integrate these new requirements into your supply chain.....from the sketch to the final product.

Fuorisalone: TISSOT - “Time for innovation”

With Suspended interiority, MART exposes and exhibits herself. Hers is a collection of works of art with topics about emotions, humanity and political thoughts.
The red threat that characterizes MART’s own style is also inspired by the Atelier in which her exhibition is set, a place where classicism and modernity walk side by side towards the future. Working with the well known fashion designer Oscar Sciré, the Artist presents her new works, full of energy and fluidity.
While experimenting a new technique, a synthesis between sculpture and painting, the Artist creates and innovative, expressive language that, starting from visual arts, eventually becomes three dimensional.
In the paintings, the see-through game creates a mystery aura around the painted figure. Discover its shape is like reaching a destination.
The strong chromatism that characterizes her works stimulates creativity in those watching them, imaging the interiors of a house.
From April 4th to 9th, Atelier Oscar Sciré Couture Milan, Via Del Lauro 3, will host the Swiss Artist’s new works, on the occasion of Salone del Mobile and Fuorisalone, 2017 edition.
Exhibition hours are from 11 AM to 7 PM every day.

Endless summer: Blauer USA presents Renée Melo
Blauer USA debuts at the Fuori Salone in Milan, with a project that aims to support new talents of contemporary design.
The American brand will collaborate with Renée Melo, an Italian/Brazilian graphic designer and illustrator with an international career now living in London, who will exhibit in first hand inside the Blauer flagship in Piazza XXV Aprile 1 - heart of the Brera Design District – this is her first collaboration with the Brazilian brand Fouta Heritage, working with small workshops along the coasts of the Mediterranean with Arabic tradition and craftsmanship to produce foutas: a light hammam-type towel made from 100% cotton, illustrated with tropical patterns designed by Renée. A fun twist on a traditionally made product. The collection will present 5 designs ranging from the tropical beach culture of Brazil to the vintage shores of the Mediterranean. These colourful foutas are for anyone who wants to make a statement and have the summer always with them.
During the five days of the Fair Renée will be present within the Blauer Store to explain all visitors who pass to visit her work, but you can also admire her working during the live performance window art during which Renée will draw freehand directly onto the Blauer Store windows (Tuesday 4th and Thursday 6th of April from h.14.30 to h.17.30).
"It's always a pleasure to support new artistic talents. I immediately felt this project was interesting, fresh, related to the approach of the summer season and deeply tied to the theme of the sea, which I particularly love." says Enzo Fusco, president of FGF Industry

The Visit: a new project by Studiopepe
"The Visit is structured in a flat in Milan that dates to the early 1800’s, the rooms interconnect in a continuous play of chromatic and patterned echoes. Our
objective was to create an experience of all that is beautiful, through
the use of stylistic stratifications that tell stories, speak of
research, recount a particular Milanese atmosphere that is both creative
and sophisticated. The masters of the past actively converse with
design research."
