Mary’ s flower Superhead has been one of the most well known bands in the indie scene of Greece.
They started playing in 2003 , with a more indie/punk U.S. oriented sound. After playing frequent gigs in Greece they released their first s/t record in 2006 with songs of the first period of M.f.S. In 2007 they opened the Placebo concert in Thessaloniki in front of 5000 people which made their popularity even bigger.
In 2010 they released their second album “SWAY” , an album characterized by post punk sounds and disco punk riffs.
That was the year that Mary’s flower Superhead’s reputation exceeded the Greek borders. In May 2010 they were invited to play at the Europavox fest with names like Pete Doherty, Peter Hook, Richard Hawley, the Plasticines and many more European artists gaining very enthusiastic reviews from the international press.
The same year they started playing extensively in the Balkans and Istanbul as well.
In 2012 they released a mini album in 500 vinyl copies named “Digesting the Animal” revealing a more synth based and pchycedelic sound but still groovy and danceable.
In 2014 they released a new song called “Losing Paths” the video of which was directed by the famous Greek director Vasilis Kehagias. “Losing Paths” was also the music of the IN EDIT festival spot, one of the biggest international music documentary festivals.
M.f.S. are currently working on their new album experimenting on their sound like they always do.
