Plurabelle live @ Gradina OAR - 3 septembrie

Joi, 3 septembrie ora 20:00, va asteptam din nou la Gradina OAR, de data aceasta la un eveniment live marca Plurabelle.

Plurabelle is a 2013 Romanian electronic music duo composed of Alex Bălă and Cristian Fierbințeanu.
They released their debut album, ‘Phantom Pyramid’, on French label Stellar Kinematics, on June 16th, 2014 (
The LP was preceded by the singles ‘Lindo’ (, ‘Blood’ ( and ‘Our Fires’ (, whose video, directed by French visual artist Mattis Dovier, was selected as one of the best videos of the year by Juno Download and as a ‘Staff pick’ on the Vimeo video platform. Plurabelle self-released an EP, called ‘Arsenal’, on May 5, 2015 (

It was preceded by a video for the track ‘Stay Gone’.

‘The second adds his haunting voice and incantatory lyrics to the unease and emotional chaos of the first, within a raw, primal vision of human relationships, doubt, sexlessness and fractured identity. Complementing each other in their twisted musical trance, both switch with style and ease between fickle lyrics and hissing, mysterious melodies.’ (

‘Former Iron Curtain weirdness strikes again.’ (

‘The duo, composed of Alex Bălă and Cristian Fierbințeanu, returns this month with its first album, Phantom Pyramid, a disc which escapes any possible categorization, balancing without an apparent effort 10 tracks of decadent future soul, where we permanently switch between being whipped and caressed. The athletic shadow of Grace Jones and the electric mists of Boards Of Canada float above them.’ (

‘Hypnotic, obsessive, clinical and vesperal, made of fire and of bits. The music of Plurabelle gravitates in the field of electro-synth-pop, with forays into house and electro. Alien atmospheres streaked with dark veins, but without slipping too much into psycho-decadent miasma. Enjoyable, charming, with a certain magic that sticks to your speakers. There is something vampiric and also easy-going in this strange Romanian couple, who likes to play with restlessness, drenching it in dance irony, with sporadic romantic notes here and there.’ (

‘Plurabelle wowed us with two amazing clips. Like the pixel-art marvel of “Our Fires”, which we talked about here. But, and it is good to remember, Plurabelle is primarily a duo of musicians, for whom we needed delicate ears and daring to make them into one of our darlings of the moment. If their album was released four months ago, we needed at least that to escape the psycho-wavo-romantic clutches of Phantom Pyramid.’ (

‘Pure Stellar Kinematics: weird, ‘new wave’, electronic, a little dancey, hypnotic yet approachable. These Romanians also made a superb album that you would be stupid not to buy. Plurabelle is a great group, I'd love to see it in Paris.’ (‘Plurabelle is charged with deconstructing Yawun, giving it a dark, moist and sensual interpretation.’ (Trax Magazine)
‘Filmed in one take and riveted by Cristian Fierbințeanu’s evil glare, the video for Lindo is perfectly suited for the undulating and disturbing track’. (
