SonoMania is a new music ensemble from Bucharest whose members are the most active and talented young promoters of the latest musical creations in Romania. The purpose of SonoMania is to attract a more numerous audience for "contemporary classical music", through the remarkable enthusiasm, talent and dedication of its members. Each of these musicians is particularly gifted, benefiting an impressive career as a soloist. They all share a common passion for the new ways of sound expression.

aMAZEinSOUND is a one hour and a half concert/multimedia performance that includes some of the biggest names from the art music of the last century (Mauricio Kagel, Toru Takemitsu, Witold Lutoslawski, Luciano Berio and George Crumb), as well as some of the most prestigious Romanian contemporary composers (Dan Dediu, Liviu Dănceanu) and two of the most promising young voices in Romanian new music (Diana Rotaru, Mihai Murariu). SonoMania will guide you through the labyrinth of art music, creating stories for each of these sound worlds with the help of Mihai Cucu and Tiberiu Dinescu (video projections).

This performance is included among the parallel events of the Bucharest International Biennale for Contemporary Art 2012 (http://www.bucharestbiennale.org/)
